I know that neighborhood well and have heard stories about Don's Guns. The neighborhood is one small step above armageddon wasteland with a closed indoor mall and lots of closed retail space all around. Best Buy recently left as did Incredible Pizza due to violence. Don's Guns is a place that won't blink at selling you a gun at 200% of msrp.

It sounds like the local bad guys aren't incredibly smart. That makes them very dangerous.
