Title: Best features of the CZ Kadet Kit
Post by: Joe L on February 18, 2013, 04:59:05 PM
Here are the features that set the Kadet kit apart from the rest, in my opinion:

1. Barrel fixed to the slide body and sights, barrel fit not an issue.  Very accurate.
2. Steel construction, but with a light "slide".
3. Weight same as the centerfire gun.
4.  Excellent heavy duty magazines.

I shoot this kit a bunch, like 1-2k rounds/month.  It is built like a real firearm, not as an aluminum plinker with crummy magazines and poor barrel fit.

I shot this target today, with the wind blowing 15-25 mph, gusty.  Still I was able to shoot this group on the 2" tape at 31 yards, using only a forearm rest because of the wind.

The two rounds off the tape?  Me.  Not the gun.  Me.

Joe,
Nice shooting on a windy day.
It has been difficult to purchase ammo where I live.
Am going to track some down on line.

Very nice! Concur with your assessment of benefits. Keep posting with photos.

Cheers,
Ps. Just finished my slide grip enhancements. Anyone able to help me get photos up? If emailed to you.

K3JB--Ammo is scarce here as well.  I have some 40 gr CPRN CCI MiniMags but picked up some Golden Bullets in 36 and some CCI 36 gr HP Tactical over the last two weeks.  These three really shoot about the same in my pistol.  I'm saving the 40 gr but I'm no longer worried that the other two are significantly different.  Shoot what you can find, but shoot.

Thanks Joe, I have always shot 40, but will look for 36.
We have had sketchy weather here to shoot, freezing rain expected today.
I have a short range on my tree farm of
150 feet which does make life easier to just get our and shoot.
I know that is your creed.
I have tried a number of .22 pistols, but the Kadet feels the best
and my go to gun to head to the range.
Thanks,
Richard

Thanks for the info I've been really looking into these and was curious about how the magazines would feel/quality.

I only shot 970 rounds through the Kadet kit on my CZ-75B frame this weekend, that is Thursday-Sunday.  I had to shoot my 9mm SIG and a Savage bolt gun some too or it would have been over 1000.  Dang gun just runs and runs.
