Went to a gun show yesterday here in MD (while they are still allowed) and saw a CZ83 380, so I decided to take it. I've never shot one, but couldn't resist based on comments on the forum here.
Paperwork is backed up here to about 4 weeks. :-(
Only one mag, too. Looks like they are hard to find at a decent price.
I would also be interested to see what grip options there are.

grips4u.net, good cheap grips
-
Marschals grip. Well worth the wait and many options of woods and styles.

Sorry you have to wait.
Nevertheless welcome to the 82/83 club! You are going to really love that pistol.

Thanks!
I have small hands, so I'm looking for slim grips. Anyone with a recommendation?
This will make a fine stablemate to my 75b and vz58 :-)
A little bummed about mag prices, though.

I bought these from Vintage Grips.com and they're pretty close in size to the stock grips. Marshall Grips offer thinner panels that I'm sure you'd love but it can take awhile to get them.

These are from Grips4u, they required a bit of inletting and sanding for the magazine to drop free.
That is a milsurp CZ83 BTW

A milsurp 83? O_o I thought that all 83s were made for civilians and that 82s were for military/police.

I tried to take a better photo. It has the rounded trigger guard, cal 9 Browning, Made in Czechoslovakia. It came out of the factory in 1992.

Hiya Moeman, glad you landed one, bummer bout the mag prices, crazy market, I only have the two it came with, and one I use at the range the other loaded with HP's.

These wood grips are from the previously mentioned Marschals grips, old country european craft work, you wont be shaving, sanding anything. After 500 rounds just needed to tighten down the grips. Be most careful unwrapping on arrival the 2 washers are very small. Treat yourself to them. Be well

Hey, glad to see someone else on here from The Worker's Paradise!
Speaking of mags, J&G Sales has CZ-manufactured 10-round MD-legal (as of today) mags. A little pricey, but not stupidly so, and they will ship here. AND THEY RUN FLAWLESSLY - not Khyber Pass "cz mfg" junk.

I didn't like the .380 mag ammo rattle in my CZ 83, so I sold it. Anybody want to buy 19 boxes of Federal Eagle .380 FMJ?
