Title: Loading for the ".223 Timms"
Post by: billruger45 on August 04, 2005, 01:49:32 PM
Hey, All I have been experimenting loading .22 x .30 Toky with plastic Sabots. Interestingly I am getting awesome velocities. Thety are burning across the chrony at 2200 ft/ sec. The only problem lies in cycling. In order to get the gun to run I am going way beyond published charge weights. Current testing w/ AA#5 8.5 gr at 2200FPS. I haven't chronied the 9.5 gr loads but that is barely cycling the action. My plan is to test 10. and 10.5 gr. loads next. So far no signs of excess pressure. Anyone else out testing .223 Timms?
