I'm really interested in picking up one of the hard chromed CZ-52 pistols from Classic Arms to keep my other orignal CZ-52 company, it would make a nice range "bling" gun. I haven't heard from anyone that has seen one, so any info on them would be great. I think it's definitely worth $169. I did find one picture of a chrome CZ-52, but I'm not sure if it was chromed by Classic Arms or not.

Do you know if it still qualifies for C&R status?
-
no, I don't know. I don't have a C&R license so I'm not concerned. But that is an interesting question.

Howdy!
I just sent my FFL, $$, etc. last night for one of these beauties! "I just gotta have one of these!!"
I've got a parked 9mm, a parked 7.62, and now I'll have a chrome one! Life is good
Re: C&R--I'd be willing to bet that they will still qualify. It would be no different than original parkerized or arsenal refinish. The actual firearm is unchanged, just the finish.

Well, it all is irrelevent now as the newest CZ-52 is more than 50 years old, the cutoff year. It can be modified in an infinite number of ways as long as it is 50 years old or older. 10 years ago, it mattered, as they were all less than that. Now, well, since the newest Cz-52 was made in 1954, the newest is 51 years old. Hard chroming is no problem, nor is 9mm barrel.

Howdy!
Well I picked up mine this morning. The chroming is excellent, the magazines, holster, grips, and cleaning rod leave something to be desired.
For a unique CZ 52, however, it's still a bargain.
