I bought several boxes of ammo for my CZ-52 at a gun show. I don't know what I got. On the boxes it says:
7.62 mm naboje
pistoletowe
70 szt
All I know about it is it shoots great and it is hot.
It is very shinny and looks well preserved.
Anybody know anything about this stuff?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is Polish surplus ammo. The stamps translate very roughly into "7.62 ammunution for pistol, 70 count." The circle may actually display the headstamp on the casings (just my guess, but you'll discover this pretty quickly when you open the box).
I haven't fired any Polish ammo, if only because it wasn't around when I was looking to buy more. I've heard it's OK. One Broomstick site I came across listed it as too powerful for old broomstick Mausers, but the specs are almost identical for .30 Mauser and 7.62x25 Tokarev, so it may indicate that the propellant has decayed and become more powerful over time in this Polish surplus ammo. That is speculation on my part. Shoot it and let us know what you think.

Everything you said in your reply makes sense. It does shoot well. I ran a box thru my CZ-52 and no problems. The head is stamped only with 2 numbers 54 on one edge and 55 on the opposite edge. Thanks for the information. I know they are not reloadable because the bullet is dimpled in with 3 dots. I guess that is a foreign thing, not like we do it. Thanks again.
