Title: Quick CZ-40 Question
Post by: bullsi1911 on May 28, 2003, 07:00:32 AM
I put a CZ-40 on layaway on friday, and I have a quick question- just above the slide stop on the 'drivers side' of the slide there is a little machined divot.  Does that have a purpose?

You can see the 'divot on the picture on the CZ-USA website, so I know that it just isn't mine that has it.

Alignment mark for disassembly.  It aligns over the safety red dot when you take the pistol apart and then when you re-assemble.  See the maintenance instructions for details.

Gotcha... one of them RTFM errors ;)

Just downloaded the manual from the CZ-USA site, and see that the divot is a witness mark for disasembly of the DAO version.  Thanks!

Not just for the DAO, which I think was only available as the Colt version.  The SA/DA uses the same divot while taking it apart.
