Took my 40B to the indoor range Saturday to try out my cut down Wolff 20 lb. spring and a couple of boxes of PMC 180 grain ammo. I had previously tried tried this pistol equipped with this spring with some mixed boxes of Blazer and S & B 180 grainers and really didn't notice much difference in recoil. Using the PMC ammo was like shooting a 9mm. I'm not sure if the ammo really made the difference or not, but I liked the results a lot. I'm tempted to get a few boxes of PMC's lighter rounds and see how that works.
By the way, I tried the PMC in my steel framed Witness compact some time ago, and it also felt kind of light then too now that I think about it.

I could be the heavier bullet weight. Some 180 grains are moving under 1000 ft sec.
