Where are all the BD's hiding? Can find the 97B's NIB but the BD model seems to be nonexistent. Been looking one for quite a while but don't want to settle for a standard B model. If anyone knows where a NIB BD is, I would appreciate a heads up.
Thanks,
Mike

I've had one on order since mid-November 2012.
Paid-in-full and still waiting...

I haven't seen any new factory 97's for sale anywhere, local or online, for almost a year. But if you have the funds you can get a very nice custom model from CGW. http://www.cajungunworks.com/guns_for_sale.html

Saw one 2 weeks ago at the Mesquite gun show here locally and it was a 2013 model with the aluminum grips and F/O front sight. I don't remember if it was a BD or not... but it was nice seeing one, anywhere. CZ's are more rare than unicorn snot these days, at least the steel ones.

That was more than likely a 97B. I don't think the BD model comes with the F/O front sites.

2013 97B = F/O front sight
2013 97BD = Tritium night sights
-
Aha, so the BD is more of a tactical 97 than the B. Makes sense that you'd have a decocker with night sights (defense) vs. slide safety and F/O front, comp rear (sport).

I'm counting my blessings...I've been looking for a while too and FINALLY picked one up locally from a guy on Armslist yesterday. I feel like I won the lottery or something.
-
Maybe that's why we become CZ addicts, we win the lottery every time we find one. BTW I have seen, literally, handfuls of P01's lately. SO, so tempted to pick one up but I'm trying to spread out my calibers. I don't want 3 or 4 9's, know what I mean?

Speaking of... noticed this on the bottom of the 97 page:
CGW will receive 10 - CZ-97B manual safety pistols in October 2013. Only 200 nationwide are scheduled for import through February of 2014. CGW will accept a refundable holding deposit until this batch of 10 is sold out.
