Title: Out for quail, finally!

No, not yet - Saturday. However, my landlord also asked me what mornings I would like to go with him to his favorite spot...this could be good!
Never had quail, hope it's tasty.

It's great. :)  Akin to chicken, but you get it fresher than most chicken we see (outside of finding a local supplier).  Not a lot of meat per bird, so make sure you bring back more than one.  ;D

I got squat. LAGS got one. My other buddy, pictured, (also using a CZ 712), got skunked. No pics of me, thankfully.
Still, a bad day in the desert tramping around with shotguns is better than a good day at work. :) Got until Feb to try again!!

LOL great pics.... unfortunatly 1 quail is hardly enough for a meal.... specially for 3 people ;)

Cheer up, a day out with nature and good company is part of what makes hunting and fishing worthwhile.

Absolutely. :) The one quail went home with the guy who got him, and I understand it was a good appetizer. :)

Have to get another weekend day off to do it again...
