Shot the Kadet this morning, ran perfectly. It's been a year to the day since I put in the last CGW parts. Not sure of the final round count for 2013, probably 12k. I have cleaned the firing pin and hole, breech face, ramp, chamber and barrel, but only added oil to the frame parts. I think it is time to do a complete disassembly and clean before I forget how to do it without launching anything.

I know Schmeky would be happy for me to wait until 2015, but this is enough.
By the way, as of this morning, the trigger pull was nicer than two Volquartsen equipped 22/45'ss and two sweet Buckmarks. This gun is still the standard for me in comparing triggers on all my firearms, and those of my friends.
This is fun. Dirty, but fun.

Just got my Kadet kit and really like having the smooth trigger of the CZ with the .22 round. Now I need to get the gun to run. I've had to work on the slide to get it to work with the pistol frame geometry to get the same smooth travel the 9mm slide has. But the trigger is smoother than the 22/44 Ruger that I've worked on and I know it's worth the gun smithing time to get the parts to match. My problem was getting it to go into battery and then light firing pin strikes. No worry's as it is accurate and those problems are minor.
It does get dirtier shooting 22's but I am glad to know I can run a few rounds though it before I need to break it down.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!

Make sure you take some pictures of it clean! otherwise no one will believe you actually cleaned it ;)

joe, you and schmecky are the maestro's!
quick question.. what exactly CGW parts you got in the gun? which hammer spring? etc.. also what frame you using?
thanks

Schmecky is the maestro, I'm the parts abuser. What you see above is the CGW hammer and sear, in a 75B frame that I run a 22LR Kadet slide on, thus the grunge. The grunge looks bad but doesn't hurt a thing except the looks. At least that's my contention. I'll clean it tomorrow or Friday. Maybe. Then again in 2015.
I also run a 17 lb hammer spring because of the 22LR rimfire, single action only trigger with two set screws, CGW pins including the trigger pin, reduced power trigger return spring, a 75Plus barrel pin and barrel location modification, just about everything one can do to a CZ-75B. I also have a 9mm slide for this frame with 13 lb recoil spring, CGW firing pin and spring, LPA adjustable sights.

No Joe, say it isn't so

How about Easter 2014? That's already a religious experience.

When you do clean it, you'll have to use virgin Solvent, then strain it through a coffee filter to see just how much gunk you've collected
It really is something, just how dirty 22s are

I shot it some more this morning. Not going to clean it yet. Trigger pull 2 lb 4 oz. Perfect.

If you can find CCI .22 ammo, they use Vihtavuori gun powder. It might run an additional 6 months without cleaning if you can find CCI Mini-mags/Target for all your shooting.

Haven't put many rounds through the 75B since getting the Ruger 22/45 and the P-09. But I've loaned it out some and used it to test a couple of red dots. I also loaned it out to a junior shooter to use with the 9mm slide last weekend. he ran the full match without a problem. Got some fresh brass chips in the frame, however. Maybe July 4th, I'll clean it. Until then, match back up gun.

Trigger pull is still 2 lb 4 oz, same as a year ago.

Now we know why I am always amazed when someone says we have to clean these.
