Can't wait! Ones great, but technically it's the wife's. So two is even better because now it means I have one. So 10 days from now I'll be in possesion of my very own 9mm P09. In the meant te shipping the first slide of to Schmeky for a sight install. It'll be interesting to have a stock P09 and one with CGW upgrades side by side for comparison.

Who does CZ SSE's in CA?

I agree, one just isn't enough. My P-09's look great next to eachother. The serial number of my 2nd is 86 later than the first, so that is pretty cool. Both shoot great by the way!

I agree, I'm glad I took the chance and ordered two when I started this process. As of January first I can no longer bring high capacity magazines into California. So I ordered the two P09's and a couple of spare mags. Covering my ass anyways and made non invasive 10rd plugs that are in the mags but easy to uninstall. Add on the 30 day wait between each handgun purchase it's made this just drag out. In the long run I'm glad I've got em and any CZ fan will be envious that see's me with them at the range.

My 10 days is up and I'm going when they open in the morning to pick her up. Can't wait! Plus I just mailed Schmeky payment for one full set of P09 upgrades so double the P09 excitement in this house right now. It'll be awesome to have the stock vs the CGW upgraded P09 to shoot side by side.

bleep California laws. Apparently my 10 day waiting period is up today at 5pm and the shop closes at 4. I can't go during the week so I'm stuck waiting until next Saturday now to go pick her up. I'd love to leave this state but would take to big of a pay cut. Can't wait to retire out of state, but still have 30 more years to go.

What's involved in SSE'ing a pistol?
-
In order to Single Shot Exempt a handgun that is not on our handgun roster, the handgun needs to be converted to a single shot pistol.
These features are to include, a barrel over 6 inches and a magazine block, essentially turning it into a single shot pistol. (Single shot pistols are exempt from the CA roster). A magazine block is usually just a block of wood.
The hardest part for most people who want a more rare pistol, is finding an extended barrel. A couple shops in CA are thankfully doing the P-09 now. I pick mine up on 2\8. More common are the glock gen4's, XDM and XDS, some HKs and certain 1911s.
There is ongoing litigation that will hopefully defeat the handgun roster here in CA since the CA DOJ has made the requirements SO great that manufacturers are not even bothering to submit new models. Which is bad but good for the case moving forward.

Communism/Facism is really closer to home than i thought. I feel for you guys. Somebody needs to remind our fearless leaders that just the hunters in WI, MI, PA & WV would make up the largest army in the world !
