CTD has the P01 for $515 and free shipping!!! Won't get ANY better than that I suspect EVER, so go get em kiddies while their hot. I got another one, plus I also picked up yet another AR15, the S&W 15 Sporter for $583!!!!
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/9-50703
$1100 for a P01 and an Ar15 FREE SHIPPING. Hmmmm, wonder if they have a MAJOR overstock??? Night before last the exact same stuff was $622 for AR and the P01 $554. Dropped overnight!!!
-
That's a good price. Add the FFL charge and no charge for shipping, as it is free, then that's still one of the better prices I've seen lately.
They are also offering 3 P-09s in stock at Warehouse 3 for $459.89.
-
I guess I got lucky. I was at a local pawn shop today and they had a new P-01 for $499. Two mags in the box, the black rubber grips, cleaning tools, etc. It is marked "12" on the slide, I assume it's a 2012 model. If this snow ever melts, I'll be hitting the range with it.
-
They are all gone from CTD.
-
I refuse to buy from CTD. YMMV.
-
CTD and Dick's both suspended "assault rifle" sales when we needed them most to stand fast.

So I won't buy anything from either firm.

Not only that, but CTD was price gouging as bad as anyone and worse than most.

Supply and Demand my friends. Its been around since the age of man.... Personally, I don't blame them. I am a plumber and when we had a HARD freeze and hundreds of people were calling at once I was charging PREMIUM too!!!! Get my butt out on a cold day to crawl under an ice cold water filled crawl space when NO ONE ELSE (demand) would do it, I gave them service (SUPPLY) and charged them premium...
I like CTD and I buy the cheapest!!! If they have the best price, they get my money. That simple. Not losing $50 out of principle.
I didn't see anyone complaining when they were CHEAPER than the rest, so why complain when they were MORE than the rest. They had a product EVERYONE wanted. In case this surprises anyone, they are in biz to MAKE MONEY!!! 100,000 people wanted a rifle and they only had 1,000. I charge more too!!!!
How many individuals sold their AR for $1900 that cost them $900? A slew. I know I did and I sleep well at night. If idiots persist in making a run for the gun shops every single time there is a shooting, then its called an ignorance tax!!!

Yep.
Still a good price op.

It's a good price but I'm down with Birds I also refuse to do business with them
-
I think the fact so many people are not buying from them is driving their prices right now.
-
Na, they are bigger than Amazon....not really but they are huge. The few who don't buy from them doesnt bother them one bit!!!
They have always had pretty cheap prices. What they have now is a major overstock left over from the gun run last year.
-
Another thing i noticed eas they had the 612 shotty for 230!!!! Omg i wish i new a week ago

It's not about raising prices, they actually canceled orders already paid for because they could sell it for more money after the panic. That is just absurd. I love good deal just like everyone else, but at some point you have to draw the line in sand and stand by it.
-
I concur with Edin, I had my order canceled on an AR and 20 Pmags last year during the price hike just to see them sell the same items for triple the price I paid for it. After calling there CS I was told that at the time when I placed my order it was already out of stock and there is nothing they can do about it, what a BS. They also charge you extra for shipping because they say the items are in different warehouses which are located next to each other, I would understand extra shipping if the items were actually shipped separate but that's not the case, they just try to stiff you for every dollar they can.
-
Well again, that was not their NORMAL policy, it was an exceptional time. They didn't do ANYTHING different then every other gun shop was doing. My local ATP gun shop raised prices on AR's double and triple. And the AMMO was a TOTAL rip off. But ya know, don't buy it. But don't say they are thiefs because of it. It's just what sales are all about.
Again, when there is NO DEMAND FOR IT, as NOW, CTD is selling them for $580!!!! For a Smith and Wesson MP15. It doesn't get ANY better than that. I don't see anyone complaining when prices DROP because of NO DEMAND, like now, then why complain when they go UP because of demand?
You didn't HAVE TO WAIT until a shooting and rumors of a ban went around. What do you think would happen if THERE was a BAN??? Every body here complaining about CTD would sell their OWN Ar for times 3 if they could.
Let's say you ran an ad for your AR for say $900. A guy calls and says he wants it, he will be over the next day to grab it. That night, a ban goes into effect you're didn't know about. Next day your Ar u had sold for $900 is NOW WORTH $1900. You going to STILL sell to that guy for $900 cuz you're honorable? HELL NO. You're gonna say "sorry, the prices just went up overnight and I am NOW asking $1900.
I just ordered a $9 part from CZUSA and had to endure a $7.25 SHIPPING FEE. THAT IS A RIP OFF. I write them an email and said, can you PERHAPS put it in an envelope and throw a stamp on it????? Their reply was NO, WE ONLY SHIP FEDEX!!!! Question of the day was WHY DO YOU ONLY SHIP FEDEX for small, simple parts???????? People get ripped every day.....even without a ban scare.

I have no feeling one way or another about whether anybody else does business with them. I would not make a recommendation either way. I just won't.
-
I find when I purchase parts from Brownells they are very decent with the S&H.
-
I understand that my experience with them is not going to change anybody's mind when it comes down to buying from CTD or when they are trying to find the best price online and I'm not trying to do that. But it was an unpleasant experience and I was just trying to share it because someone else started a post. But there are people out there that prefer to to business with certain shops and stick with them regardless of the price just because they like their customer service or for other reasons and I'm one of them. Even if they had something I really wanted for a great price I would not give them my money but that's just me. To some people things like that make a difference but there are some who just don't care as long as they get the best deal and that's understandable.
I recently was turned away by a company who refused to do any future business with me because they didn't like the procedures I followed when I shipped my new Shadow back to them for extra work that I was paying them extra for because it didn't stand up to CZC standards that I've become accustom to. I won't mention their name even though I feel I was screwed over by high egos but that's just part of sorting out good shops from bad once. I'm not going to start bashing them although I feel like they deserve it but if someone starts a post about them maybe I'll share my experience also. I probably should've waited until CZC got them in stock and at the end I ended up buying it from them anyways.

Plumber
Your word and your honor is we have, if not then you're just like the rest. If I were selling a $900 rifle and someone payed me for it then I would honor that price. If someone had told me they were going to pick it up the next day I would still require a deposit otherwise it's not a commitment and anything is fair game but I wouldn't charge them double. If only everybody show up when they say they would it would be a different world. We all make mistakes but it's how we deal with them that separates us from others.
-
Sorry but if I agreed to sell at $900 it wouldn't matter if they went up to $9000 I would still sell at the agreed upon price. My integrity doesn't have a price tag.
-
Lots of people tried to take advantage of their fellow American during that time. I did business with only 4 companies. Midway, Sportsmansguide, Grabagun and KentuckyGunCo. Take that back. CZCustom and CZUSA also got some orders, but not for anything major. If they jacked up their prices, it was minimal. CTD got 0 business from my end in the last few years until last month, when I got 420 rounds of 556 for less than 180$ delivered, in January. Still kicking myself, because unless they screw me over somehow, Im going to stay loyal to the aforementioned companies. I even sold some ammo to friends when they could not find any. They paid what I paid. I thought about sticking it to some poor schmuck by selling my AR. Still have it in the safe.
-
When I list something for sell that price is what it gets sold for. I have had people offer me more but a deal is a deal. This is the only way I know how to do business. It is also the only way I want to do business.
-
I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone and there are others that feel the same way
-
I just doubt it, I'm sorry I do. I've heard all that talk before. Sounds GREAT on a website and others shake your hands about how much integrity you have..... But in reality, you're full of it. I sleep WELL at night. And if you all want me to believe you WOULD have, in theory, mind you, sold your AR for $900 when it went up to $1900 overnight cuz they banned them, cuz you talked to a COMPLETE stranger the night before who said he'd be by to get it.....I think you all are lying to your yourselves and others.
I guess you want me to believe also, that if you had a car for sale and you were asking $5,000 and some idiot OFFERED you $5,000, that you would say "hey, I WOULD have taken $4,000, I was just ASKING $5,000....." so I won;t take your $5,000, but I'll sell it to you for $4,000 and will only take $4,000 cuz I got character and integrity....
BULLPOOP.
I feel NO SHAME selling for a profit, because I have what they DO NOT, at a time they need it the most. I was planned. I was prepared. I bought several AR15's and 5000 rounds of ammo BEFORE something bad happened.....and then when the bad happens, all the other morons start scouring the streets, looking for guns and ammo.....the SAME guys who made fun of me years back, about why did I feel the need to buy sooooo many guns and soooo much ammo.
It's an idiot tax in my mind and I am going to sell for as much as I can and sleep like a baby at night. How do you all think the world spins? You think if I'm wise enough to buy ATT stock in the 80's and then it goes up OVERNIGHT, I'm supposed to "let my shares go at a reasonable price" cuz I am HONORABLE??? Cuz I have INTEGRITY??? Horse Crap. I sell for CURRENT VALUE. I repeat, CURRENT VALUE. That's what I sell for....not PAST VALUE. And if you all try to make me swallow you'd sell ANYTHING at all for PAST value cuz you're honorable....well I do not believe you. And if you do, you're not smart, that simple.
Something REALLY bad happens to this world, these will be the SAME people begging me for my food stockpile too, when they are starving. You plan, or you don't plan. You don't plan.....oh well, you lose out.
But you all waited until talk of a ban ensued and rumors ran around like they ALWAYS do when someone gets shot and then you all BOUGHT INTO THE MEDIA HYPE and FLOODED gun stores looking for a gun along with 1 million other people....THEN have the NERVE, when it goes up in value overnight to wonder why and CURSE the people selling it so high, even though YOU are to blame, not the gun stores.....and then even worse, COMPLAIN ABOUT IT AND SAY IF IT WAS ME, I WOULD NEVER DO SUCH A THING..... Paleeeeeeeeeese.... People like you ALWAYS say you wouldn't.....cause you're never in a position to do it.....cuz you wait until the last sec to buy.....so you never know if you would or would not.
But don't sit here and tell me if your rent is due and your kids are screaming for food that your HONOR and INTEGRITY would prevent you from selling for a profit.
