Title: Extension baseplate
Post by: MetalGravy on May 02, 2014, 09:37:17 PM
Googled and found a link here for using the 75B baseplate as a replacement, but was wondering if anyone knew of a baseplate that increases capacity.  12 rounds is great and all, but the 83 will be replacing my Bersa Thunder 380 Plus as a BUG, and I'd like to have a way to continue carrying 15 rounds.

I believe the capacity stays the same, it is just a bigger baseplate.

Can't increase it. Stays at 12 rounds

Mysteriously,  my CZ83 mags have suddenly started taking 13 rounds of 380. I wonder if the springs are getting weak. No bad behaviour that I can tell (yet)

12 for 9x18 Makarov 13 for 380 is the norm. with one in the pipe and 13 in mag 14 total in 380

Strange. For the first sixteen years of its life I could only get 12 in the mag. Perhaps the springs just started out too stiff

Yeah, I was able to get 13 in there today with a magloader.  Rounds rattled a bit, but no malfunctions.
