Title: PCR 02 FTE
Post by: CZ75again on January 28, 2003, 02:49:39 PM
I purchased a PCR afew weeks ago and fired 750 rds thru it. Shoots fine except for FTE and FTF with CCI Blazer FMJ. Has anybody else had problems with Blazer?

After +/- 3,000 rounds of Blazer, Winchester White Box, UMC (all in 115gr FMJ) and Speer Gold Dots 124gr +p, the only thing that I had trouble with was the Corbon 115gr +p JHP.  They seem to be a little bit shorter than your standard 115gr cartridge.  As they were stripped off the magazine, they would go nose up into the slide and prevent it from going into battery.
I've shot a lot of Blazer and the only real complaint I have is that it's pretty dirty.

If you hit the feed ramp with a little scotchbrite and polish it...it will do wonders.  My PCR and 83's will feed empty cases...not recommended though. :rolleyes   The only diff. in blazers is the aluminum case.  Smoothing rough mag lips isnt a bad idea either.  Until you figure it out ...dont shoot blazers.  Shoot well:smokin
