Title: CZ 712 for 3-gun? What must have mods?
Post by: ClangClang on August 10, 2014, 12:22:14 AM
I just picked up a brand new 712 with 26" barrel and a set of 5 chokes.  I'm pretty excited! This is my first shotgun, other than an old, heavily used, dead-reliable Wingmaster I inherited.

For the 712, I some components on the way: Nordic +5 tube, a Fiber Optic front sight, and an oversize safety.  What else do I want/need to shoot 3 gun?  Any smithing I might want to have done like an oversize loading port, etc?  Any other advice for new-to-semi-auto shotguns?

Thanks!

This is a pretty long thread, but probably pretty comprehensive in terms of discussion around the 712 for 3gun:

Nordic has the magazine extension for the 712.

It looks like their website is being updated. So It might be better to call them. But... http://nordiccomp.com/retail/ (http://nordiccomp.com/retail/).

Aside from the coupler coming lose [blue loc-tite every cleaning?], I'm looking forward to finding out how it holds up.
