Title: Early 97b. Should I shoot it?
Post by: Lightsped1 on August 20, 2014, 06:09:52 AM
I have an early 1998 model 97b. Mine is serial number Axxx. It does not have the front slide serations. Gun is all stock and probably has three mags through it so far. I am the original owner.

Question is, the other day I got it out of the safe and was wanting to fire it again. Lately I have read about the early models having problems with the barrel lugs. Should I be concerned? Mine has spent the past 15 years or so in the safe.

Thanks

I'd say oil it & shoot it. You won't regret it. It's a realy sweet pistol. Mine is also a 1998 model with thousands of rounds through it. No problems with the lugs.
