Title: Value of brand new P-01?
Post by: Mike444 on September 22, 2014, 06:39:43 PM
I added this to my collection last year but I may need to sell for financial reasons. I have never even fired the gun so when I say it's brand new, I means it's brand new.

Any thoughts on what I'd get at a gun broker or even in a private sale, if I can do that in the People's Republic of Maryland.

It's still used. Try looking on gunbroker or similar websites for a pistol like yours.

I realize it's used. And I guess my question was more what would I expect if I took it to s gun shop. Thx

If you take it to a gun shop to sell it you can expect to get (if you're lucky) 50% of what you paid. Maybe 60% on a good day. You'll get a better deal if you want to trade into something else.

I agree with Widge. You'd be better off private sale. A gun shop or pawn shop won't give you near what it's worth because they need to make a profit.

Probably $450-$500 in a private sale around here, in southern NH.

Gun shop might give you $350, then sell it for $600.

hey mike,
you got some good advice, take it .  I'm in Md. too, you should know they will stick it to you here. :)

my ffl tried to get e to go through a gun training facility to do the HQL  Application and prints...

I did it by myself and it cost 50% or more then what i would have paid them. never mind the cost in gas because the ffl was close by, but the facility was like 30 miles away at least.  i knew i could do better than that nonsense. cost $54.40 approx.
