Title: CZ-75B with a polished blue finish
Post by: Ed Gordon on October 29, 2014, 07:54:14 PM
I am excited - found a new CZ-75B with a polished blue finish. I didn't realize CZ offered this finish anymore. Does anyone know if this is a current version offered? The bluing looks right up there with the Hi Power or SW revolvers of old. I will be looking for a nice pair of wood grips for it. Anyone else have the blued version?

I picked up one recently as well.  the sku# is 91103.  CZ-USA doesn't list it on their website, but a few online dealers were offering them when I purchased mine.  Perhaps CZ-USA hasn't updated their website.  Perhaps it's just a limited import that may or may not return again.  I don't know.  What I do know is that I wanted one and wasn't going to miss the opportunity to get one while they were available.  I have not shot it, but it sure looks great.

On the CZ-UB site, glossy blue is listed as one of the offered surface treatments. I saw a glossy blue one in the Prague store's showcase last month. I think CZ-USA only lists the models that are generally offered or expected to be shipped here so it's always a pleasant surprise when one of the lesser distributed models show up. Grab 'em while you can if you want one. The two-digit year of manufacture on the slide should confirm if yours is a recent production. Congrats on pistols; some Marschal grips would look super on these. Post some photos when you have a chance.

Have had a beauty like that for years. Filled lettering in white. Seldom shoot it but my favorite look of all of my CZs. Call me old school but you can't beat the look of a well blued gun.

I took a picture with my matt BD version. I ordered Meprolight sights, CGW firing pin and two 17 rd magazines for it. The blued version is really nice looking. I may get a pair of the Marschal grips yet. I looked at the slim ones and they would compliment the traditional look of the bluing nicely. The test target was from October 2013. Just got it all cleaned up from the packing oil that was on it. Have a couple hundred rounds of Berry's 115gr  and some 124 gr xtp's loaded up for tomorrow. If it shoots like my BD I will be a happy camper. Thanks for the info. - Ed

I saw Buds had the majority of them, one dealer here in WI had them on gunbroker for a stupid price compared to Buds, but I ended up ordering two glossy blued ones from Buds.

I could be wrong, but I believe these were a special run back in '13 as a friend of mine bought a gloss blued CZ 97 also made in '13.

It is a nice blue for the money, I don't believe its polished as it looks a little watery compared to my Hi Power and Colts but IMO the 75B looks the best w/ a blued finish.

GBCZ - I agree with you on the bluing. Nice looking but not up there with a Hi Power or older SW Model 19 I have. The place I got mine had one more left. If I had the cash I would get it...I paid about $50 more for this one than the BD. Just got the meprolight sights in today and after some thought put them on the BD since it is my go to pistol. I will shoot it tomorrow to see if POI stayed the same. I like the mepro's as they look pretty stock since they are green dots. Unlike the glow in the dark stock sights these really work! Shot the blued one Sunday and it doesn't need the spring kit, so I will keep that as a spare.

Yeah I picked up one of the 91103 blued 75B's this year.  It's a beautiful gun and a great shooter.  Couldn't pass it up since they're not commonly imported anymore.
