Title: Buttstock Storage
Post by: sofrosune on November 08, 2014, 07:36:05 PM
Just curious if anyone utilizes the rear buttstock for any type of storage?  I would think that with all of the empty space in the stock and a removable buttplate, it would serve well to store a small survival, first aid or even cleaning/tool kit.

With the wood, you might need to pick one.

With the polymer, it has a huge cavity that would support all of the above.  That add'l weight towards the stock end would probably help the weapon to feel more balanced too.

The complete kit will "NOT" fit in a Beaver barf stock, tried it yrs. ago and the oil bottle is to wide!
