Title: Best way to mount scope on cz455 put a rail or straight 11* rings?

Other then quick removal and zero reset not sure why to put a rail on. Ordered 455 Combo today. So want to get parts ordered and ready.  Any past experience will be helpful. Right now going to mount 4x40 Nikon on it. Thanks

I'd stick with the 11mm rings.  The CZ factory rings are super solid but a bit bulky looking and tall.  Warne and Burris, among others, offer excellent rings to fit the size as it is common on European rimfires and air rifles.

I have blk technology 11mm rings on my 452. I wouldn't use another. Good sturdy rings.

That is a Weaver V-16 4-16x42 mounted on my 452 Varmint.

Thank You.! Looking on the 42mm there is a lot of clearance.

I know this is an old thread but nobody has voted for the DIP rail yet, so I will. It's well-made and with 6 setscrews IMO you aren't going to lose any rigidity.

The biggest advantage for me is that I have several scopes and a box of rings in different heights and scope diameters but all for standard non-CZ rails. When I wanted to swap scopes between this rifle and another I didn't have to buy rings first. It also worked out that the rail adds just enough height so the mounts I'm using have enough clearance for the front scope cap. Rings mounted right on the dovetail would have been too low unless I went up to the next height. There's certainly nothing wrong with having the right rings on the dovetail but this functions just as well and makes some things easier.

I just went with CZ 11mm rings on the rifle's mount. The CZ rings also have their logo on 'em for the added touch. This is a 30mm tubed Mueller APT. Works quite well on the 455.
