Title: Safariland 012 holster
Post by: PornoPeteFromOz on June 22, 2006, 03:16:40 AM
Hi, we are finally getting a shipment of SP01's to Australia nad I am wondering if I can use my existing Safariland 012 holster with it as they are meant to be able to take CZ75 pistols.

Thanks,

Pete

Unless you can STRETCH the leather of the Safariland a bit, its unlikely to fit -- as the SP-01 has an extended, wider frame (on the front) with an accessory rail.

Sometimes, soaking the leather and inserting the gun (wrapped in plastic wrap, Saran wrap, etc.) until it dries will do the job -- but then it won't work with other CZ-75Bs with the narrower nose.

Hay Walt,

thanks for getting back to me. The 012 is a fully open race holster that locks the trigger guard in and has a platform that the barrel fits into so my concern is actually the trigger  guard of the SP01 fitting it as I know my H&K USP CS does not. As I shoot IPSC Production Division I am not restricted to a concealment holster as are USPSA PD shooters.

the trigger guard is the same shape and size at the standard 75b.

so if it fits the the 75b..it seems it should fit.

the dustcover is wider and more square..but with the open design..it should fit.
