found this video for the SP-01
just fun..
cool video (http://www.czub.cz/videospot2.php)

Just what is that attachment to the muzzle ? Some sorta counterweight? Something to lock on the laser?
I especially like the image at the end with the knife as bayonet ! Very special holster for that.

That video was great.

The block in front of the muzzle is a striking surface for CQB. It gives an additional force option if a bad guy is noncompliant with your commands and you don't want to use deadly force. Without the block, striking with the muzzle may induce malfunctions in a semi-auto. The knife is pretty funny.

The video does tell me one thing. This gun isn't just marketed for the competitive shooting crowd. Despite what you/they all seem to think.
Believe it or not, there are some of us out there who think this looks like a pretty sweet tactical full sized gun and would buy it whether or not it met some bullbleep sport governing body's bullbleep rules.
By the way, I plan on sending one with my brother in Iraq. He is a leftie, and none of the 92FS's they have work very well.

cznerd: some other units in Iraq use SP01 or other CZ pistols? Including vz.58?
The unit on video is special police unit of South Moravia. We have 2 types of special police units, for whole republic it is URN and every country has own special police unit...this unit was "only" country but so many criminals hate them

Is that CQB standoff something that is available in the US? It looks like a must have accessory!
-
it should be..have seen it off and on, on the CZ-USA web store
