Title: Kink in recoil spring guide-normal?
Post by: StoneHorse on June 18, 2006, 10:04:00 AM
I have just over 1400 (factory) rounds through my SP-01. When I was cleaning it today, I noticed the plastic recoil spring guide was slightly bent. I had not noticed this before now. The gun has all factory stock parts and there has been no problems. Is the bent recoil spring guide normal? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is normal. It needs to have some bend in it to install it and the recoil spring in the slide. I do not have one of the stainless steel guide rods from Jack Ash, but I would think it would be more difficult to install as it does not have any bend in it.
