A real question in the form of a sentence would be easier to answer.

I think he is asking about the Beretta base plates since they fit CZs.
I believe the rubber ones aren't available, but the plastic ones are..

I think the rubber base pads offered by CZ-USA are much better looking than the plastic ones from Beretta.  Unfortunately, the CZ pads are about twice the price at about $9/ea.  But, I've put them on all my mags -- 75 Compact, and both 83s -- because they transform 2.5-finger grips into comfy 3-finger grips.  By the way, the rubber is not sticky, so they don't cling to concealment garb.

I put rubber base pads on my .32 a couple of days ago.  Much more pleasant to grip now.

I have seen a few mag base plates on CZ 82s and I think the CZ75 rubber base looks the best. I also swapped out the 82 lanyard ring for the smaller 83 one.

Parts can be had most of the time through CZ USA. Also I want to point out that even though you can use the CZ 75 base plated on any CZ 82 / 83 mag it fits better on the mags with the flat steel base plate than the ones with the wider aluminum base plates (leaves a very small gap between the mag and the base plate) most folks don't seem to mind the gap.
I ended up getting three of the steel based ones an fitted them all with the 75 rubber base plate

CZ USA has the CZ 75 rubber base plate pictured above for $9 in stock  http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/273199000850_7585--Rubber-Mag-Base-Pad
also the CZ 83 ) main spring plug (in stock also $9 without a loop (lets the rubber mag base fit much better   http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/0340042101_Main-Spring-Plug-83

geen,

Nice looking 82.  I haven't put rubber base pads on my 82 yet, as I've wanted to keep it stock, but I will have to add them and likely wood grips, too.

Can you clarify the difference between the mags with thin steel vs thick aluminum base plates?  When I got my 82 in '12 most folks reported receiving two mags, one with the thin steel plate, the other with the thick aluminum plate.  Both of mine came with thin steel plates.

Aren't the mags identical?  It's my understanding it's just the base plates that are different, but I don't have a mag with an aluminum plate to compare.  After all, the rubber base pad is a base plate, as it replaces the stock base plate.

I've confirmed that my 82 and .380 83 mags are interchangeable, the only difference being the Czechoslovak military acceptance mark on the 82 mags.  Come to think of it, the absence of rubber base plates on my 82 mags tells me at a glance (and feel) that they contain 9 Makarov, not 9 Browning, should they ever get mixed up.  If I install rubber base plates, maybe I should Krylon the 82 mags Commie Red?

The mags with the wider base are just a tad longer that the other mags and the aluminum base fills the space. so when you put the rubber base on that type of mag the space is not filled. It would work fine but there is a small gap between the magwell and the rubber base when the mag is seated in the gun.

So the mags with the thick aluminum base plates (of which I have none) are longer (ie, taller) than those with the thin steel base plates?  Did they stop making one or the other at some point?
