I've been seeing guys posting these special runs from Whittakers for theCZ 452 American and I've even seen these special runs on gunbroker. What going on with this? I thought CZ quit making this model Back in 2011. Not that I'm complaining or anything because this is awesome that I can get a new one if I can get the cash. Does anyone know the low down?

Special run for Whittakers. They have ordered 500 plus units. Would say CZ is cleaning out the parts warehouse.
The ones you see on GB are ones that Whittakers sold and the buyer is trying to become a middle man......

Okay, Makes sense now. I was talking with a friend of mine who used to work for Ford and he said the same thing about making some extra parts to clean out old stock. Too bad though, that 452 American is real pretty and shoots like a dream. Now, if the weather would just warm up to at least 40 I'm as good as at the range!

I impulsively bought one a few years back when I heard they were going to stop production as I'd heard how great they were.
I know this is a cardinal sin around here -- I took it apart, cleaned it, and haven't shot it once...

So you haven't tried your 452 yet? Man when you do, it's gonna be like Christmas morning lol

I bought my third, 452 American 4 years ago from a gun shop in Utah that couldn't sell it. I got it for a GREAT price, took it home and it sits today in the safe, NIB. It was built in 2009.

Soooo aaaaa what would do with NIB 452 just sittin around and cluttering up the place?
I know, sell them to me!

Okay! I have the been a bad boy Lol. I bought 2 of these special run 452's from Whittaker! Im only a 4.5 hour drive from them but had them ship it anyway. Whittaker doesn't mess around. I ordered the guns on Tuesday and picked them up Thursday at noon! Anyway, I took both outta the box and cleaned and oil them, I put one in the safe for a possible future project And put a lighter trigger spring in the other one then went straight to the range. Outta the box I shoot my first ever 5 shot, 1 ragged hole group At 50 yards! I used a sand bag, 6x18 AO scope, with Federal automatch ammo. Im putting this gun up against other more expensive guns next weekend at a 100 yard varmint match next weekend! Wish me luck
