Title: sp-01 vs 75B size comparison
Post by: BigTimeGunNut on May 02, 2005, 09:59:00 AM
Hi,

I'm new to the CZforum so forgive me if this question was already answered.  I'm very interested in getting a SP-01 but I wasn't sure if my hand would fit it.  I found a 75B at one of my local gunshops in Michigan but I found my thumb wouldn't quite reach the safety, etc.
Does anyone know if the reach to the SP-01 and 75B controls are the same? I've looked at pictures and they look to be similiar but I haven't found a gunshop in Michigan that has a P-01, let alone a SP-01 in stock!!

Thanks!

The rubber grips on the SP-01 are thicker than the plastic grips on the 75B, so while the grip size is the same, the SP-01 does feel slightly larger.  Of course, replacing the rubber grips with the factory plastic ones will negate this effect.

The controls for both guns are in the same place.  However, on the SP-01 both the slide release lever and the mag release button are extended and hence easier to reach with the strong hand thumb.
