Title: 455 Varmint for mini F Class
Post by: Marksman63 on April 02, 2015, 02:17:13 PM
New to this forum, being a F Class TR Italian shooter. Hello to all!

Just ordered a brand new 455 Varmint. i was able to find out the one with threaded muzzle as it seems CZ will export plain barrels only to Italy.
I will pick it up next saturday and start arranging it for mini F Class TR (200 meters).

Scope is a Nikon Monarch 3 fine crosshair reticle.
20 MOA dovetail to picatinny base and UTG rings.
Harris swivel bipod with podlock
YoDave trigger kit
I will pillar bed it using bronze bushings and add some bedding compound around action screws and 1" over front screw for a proper barrel floating.
Finally I would wrap the stock with Camo Form digital pattern

Looking forward to starting up my project. Pictures will follow

Hello Marksman63 from SW Ohio USA. You are going to love the 455 platform; not only for the barrel interchangeability but the accuracy. I also have a 455 Varmint in 17hmr but looking to purchase a 22lr Varmint barrel for the rifle. I am shooting a 453 22lr American in a rimfire benchrest match that begins in a couple of weeks, have had good results but looking for a little better stock rifle platform. I think that the 455 with the 22lr Varmint barrel will work well in the benchrest format.

Have some great shooting fun with your new rifle.

Just a couple of pictures after first mods:
- trigger job done
- mounted a dovetail to picatinny 20 MOA base
- installed rings and scope
- wrapped with camo digital tape

Arranged pillars using a lamp rod 10mm diameter.

Question:
As I'm a little bit scared of enlarging stock screws holes, do I really need pillar bedding or just glass bed receveir at tang and front sides?
