The free market has basically spoken. The value of this pistol is $430 (plus $30 to send it to Montana).
Over two dozen 'watchers' followed the auction, but after the initial $300 bid there were only two folks who tried to buy it. I really hated to let it go, but after talking at length to the fellow who bought it, I feel much better. It really sounds like it is going to a good home in the 'Big Sky Country'.

Here is a picture of the other side.

I am sorry about the large size images. They certainly show the pistol in detail, but I wanted to change the size on Photobucket to something smaller and was unsuccessful.
Thanks for taking a look at this thread - I appreciate any input. Ultimately the auction process will set the final value, but I hoped for some guideline going in.

I started the bidding with a minimum of $300 and have one bid, with ten people currently signed on as 'watching' the auction.
I hated to put it up for sale, but I need the money, so something had to go.
Even the sights are pretty cool!

I'd say in the neighborhood of $425.

That is far and away the nicest CZ-82 I've ever seen...and with upgraded sights to boot! Seeing as I'm married, I don't have $400 laying around. But if I did, I'd have it standing by to commit to your auction. Sorry you have to part with it and best of luck with the auction.

Apparently this CZ82 is not worth as much as I expected. With 16 hours remaining in the auction, the winning bid stands at $355. I had anticipated a range of $400 plus or minus 10%. My actual delivered cost for this totaled $360, so it will be a real disappointment if it goes no higher - but, Oh well!
This is only the second time I have tried to sell a firearm on GunBroker. Perhaps there will be a flurry of activity (would like to see a frenzy, but at this point that looks like wishful thinking) overnight.

What's the listing number? I'm not seeing it on GB. For me personally, the aftermarket sights and cerakote are reasons I wouldn't be interested it for what that's worth. It is nice looking though.
If you have an all original in good shape, I'd be interested. It seems whenever I check GB it's either the beat up ones or I don't have the funds for a nice one.

I had a nice 82 that I blued and put nice wood grips on it and a fiber optic front sight. I had at least $250 in to it without considering my time to strip and blue the gun. I sold it for $300 and that took a while to get that much. I look at it as breaking even. I thought I could get at least $350 easy.

I hear you loud and clear. The market can certainly be difficult to predict. My "investment" in this sweet CZ82 gained about $25 annually over the two years and nine months I owned it. That comes to a hair over 7% annual appreciation, so if I am not able to make significant money off of such a pristine pistol, I am very likely kidding myself about my 'investment' in the rest of my firearms collection.
And ... I never even got to shoot it!
But I needed to raise some cash at this time, and the CZ82 is going to a good home.

Im sure you have a shooter 82 that you still can enjoy. I love shooting my 82. I just ordered a new holster so I can start carrying mine.

I am now down to only six left! The CZ82 is one of my own best shooting pistols. There is just something about them, maybe because it is the very first handgun that showed up at my front door after my first C&R 03FFL purchase. Or maybe because the DA/SA CZ82 with polygonal rifling is simply a superb firearm. Regardless, I doubt that I will ever see another quite as nice as the 'unfired' one I just sold. I think I will miss it for a long time, although, as one of my buddies said: "Heck, you don't even know if it works!"
