Recently my model 83 began having ejection issues. (not extraction)The spent shell does not clear the firearm and prevents the next round from chambering. I have thoroughly cleaned and lubricated the feed ramps and every thing else, tried different mags and made sure the extractor and spring are good and functioning. I did notice that the ejector that the shell comes back onto to chuck it out has a 45 degree piece off of the upper corner.
My question is, is the ejector that the shell hits after being extracted supposed to be square where it contacts the spent shell? If it is mine has a chunk missing out of it. PS this firearm used to work perfectly with any kind of ammo.
Thanks for looking

According to the diagram in the owners manual the ejector looks pretty square.
