Title: Tried my new CZ 455 17HMR barrel today

I finally got to try my new CZ 455 17 HMR barrel.
To start with - I need glasses I'm afraid. Had a hard time focusing, but so had my Brother   ;D
The sun had enough power to make "heat waves" ( like the ones you see on the road), and it's been quite windy today. All this and my not so sharp eyes, made this a bit difficult. But I'm pleased so far. I shot laying, using bipods from 60 yards - we badly need a good solid bench.
But enough excuses  O0
For what it's worth, the barrel seems to be accurate. It shot under ?" Groups or very close, with everything I tried. CCI being best, Win worst.
I had a few cracked cases too. Winchester had 3 of the 15 shots, Hornady had 3 of 20 shots, and CCI had 1 from 20 shots. No duds from Winchester .

Having never owned a .17 HMR I gotta ask, are cracked cases typical?

I have shot my brothers cz 17hmr 452 and it is stupidly accurate with 17gr plastic tipped fare.
Personally I can only find 20gr and not sure if they are as accurate.
cz makes a great product, but I like walnut and blued steel.

Very Nice!
Have friend with a .17. He puts nice groups together at 100 yards as long as it is not real windy.  ;D

I can only see the 20 gr taget? The others are nettet :-)

I'm working on a bench now, so hopefully I can get a more decent test done in a few weeks.
I'm 100% sure those groups will shrink a lot with trhe help of a bench  ;D
