I know that many prefer the 452 and it was a tough call but in the end I decided on the 455. I could have gotten one about $40 cheaper from bud's but the wood on these can range from very plain and functional to visually pleasing and the one I found has a lot more character than most I have seen. To me at least it was worth the extra cash. I've got a mixed bag of different ammo here that I've collected over the last couple of months so by the end of next week I should have a chance to get out and put a few hundred rounds through it. I'm fortunate enough (in my opinion anyway) to live right on the edge of the forest so getting out and shooting is a pretty easy thing to do. I normally shoot medium and big bore pistol so a .22 rimfire will be a change of pace.

Nice! 'Wish most of us had that kind of easy access to open land that's far enough that neighbors won't get bothered. Anyway, I also got the same rifle as you, but since none of the LGS in my area carry a 452/455, I ordered mine from Lanbo's Armory (https://www.lanbosarmory.com/). The owner wrote me and shipped the rifle a day later. 'Should be here Monday.
Now, when's this dumb shortage of 22LR ammo going to end? I see shelves and shelves of shotgun ammo as well as nearly all other calibers of handgun and rifle ammo (even 223 are in abundance).

:) My 455 Training 22LR rifle arrived today. Brand new yet such a classic. Feels like a much more expensive rifle and nothing like my previous 22LR. Now, if only I can find some ammo.
+1000 to Lanbo's Armory (https://www.lanbosarmory.com/) -- best price anywhere ($319.55 + $18.71 UPS Ground shipping), no surcharge for credit card payment, and easy peasy transaction.

My new rifle arrived today. I'm going to try to get out tomorrow and put a couple hundred rounds of mixed ammo through it. Hopefull it will shoot as good as it looks.

Congrats! Gonna take mine out to the range tomorrow as well and will test ammo of different velocities.

Your best accuracy will probably be from SV or subsonic ammo. If I shoot cheap ammo, I go with Federal auto match, Mid range is usually Wolf MT or SK Std +(same ammo). If I go to higher priced ammo it is Eley Match and RWS R50. Good shooting, and have lots of fun. :)
