Just purchased my gun new. The front sight as shipped from CZ Custom is very loose in the dove tail slot so loose that when you unscrewed the barrel bushing it would fall out.. With this gun and the modified front bushing no roll pin can be used to hold in the sight in just pressure from the bushing and a tight fit? I tried a 2 part epoxy but shot loose after 150 rounds. I sent it back to CZ Custom after explaining my problem, they sent it back with red locktite installed. It shot loose in less than 10 rounds. What a waste of time and shipping charges. Has anyone else had this problem and what is the fix you used.

Get a Dawson sight fit it to the slide? There's no friction tension at all when you put the front sight in?

I had the same issue with my Accu-shadow. Red thread locker does nothing because the heat will break it down. Use green thread locker, which is designed for friction fit pieces. Green works on mine. It hasn't gotten loose yet after several months. Red came loose after one range session.

No tension on the sight . It just slides in or out. The dove tail on the base of the sight is way too small for the slide cut out. I will try locktite green but it is rated weaker than the red? As stated I used two part locktite epoxy but it only held up for 200 rounds. I am thinking of metal shim tape under the base and tapping the sight in place over it, or a new front sight with a much wider base. It stinks that CZ custom worked on it twice the original install and my return and really did not put any effort into the original build and my return repair. The gun is a lot of fun to shoot and I want to start enjoying it and put this stupid problem behind me.

I have no experience w/ CZC, but do they offer some warranty? To me, this is considered work done that did not fix the problem. It happens, and the right thing to do is to fix it for you at no additional cost since it should've been fixed the first time around. I haven't heard of anything bad about CZC, so I'm hoping part of that reason is excellent customer service.

Have you contacted CZC to let them know it's still loose?

yes they sent me a new sight but still a very loose fit on my slide. The fix for me was to use craftsman auto feeler gauges , the set that contains the brass along with the steel. For my slide I selected a brass one[easy to cut with scissors] that measured .009 inches or .2 mm thick, cut to width of slot and apx. 70 percent in length of cut out in slide. Push the shim in till it stops, and slide in the front sight base over the top of the shim to get it started, then tap the front of the sight into place with a brass punch and hammer. this is now a very tight fit. I also used locktite red to get into any space around the top and underside of the slide, but the shim makes for a really tight fit, and I think that the red is not doing much. The flat shim does not get in the way of the screw in bbl bushing.

Curious how this fix has held up over time. I am a new owner of an Accu Shadow 2 and am experiencing the same issue with the front sight. Just will not stay in. Have tried red Loctite, a Dawson sight with set screw and powerful Loctite 620 and still no luck. Great gun, just can?t used it without a front sight. So, did your fix hold up?
