Was finally able to pick up my CZ P09 this week and try it out today. It's definitely going to take some practice and patience on my part, but judging from the limited shooting I did today (390), this gun can perform. I've been shooting my M&P mostly as of late and this pistol really is different. There are a few things I will have to get used to, like not being able to place the pistol on safe with the hammer down, or being able to rack the slide with the safety on. And of course, the limited space on the slide for manipulation.
The trigger was light, but exhibited some creep and the reset reminds me of the M&P without an APEX FSS. Not to worry I know there are quite a few fixes for those short comings out there. Before I go into replacing parts, I will be polishing up the trigger bar, now that Joe has posted a video on how to remove it. I suspect, maybe in another 6-800 rounds I will start replacing parts, including probably sending the slide to CZ Custom to have it milled for a 10-8 U notch, but for now, I will enjoy it as is.
This was an 8.5" plate @ 15 yds.
