Title: Yet another P-07
Post by: CDKJudoka on July 22, 2015, 10:39:52 PM
Picked up my P-07. Now my P-09 doesn't feel so lonely around Zee Germans. Since I had a CZ clone at one point, I wanted the real deal. I picked up the P-09 last month after selling off my RIA 2011-A2. I have been happy with it at the range and even carry, but I did want something smaller. I picked this one up after selling of my XDM compact. It was a good gun, but the P-07 is better. I found a few interesting things in the manual.

One - Beer is the treatment for Tritium gas exposure.
Two - They offer a .380 version of the P-07. It's delayed blowback like most .380's, but interesting to say the least.

Congratulations! Let us know how you like your new CZ P-07 compared to it's big brother.
I'm curious, do you think it might be wise to always have beer on hand just in case there's a threat of tritium gas exposure ;D

You never know what it could happen. I even keep some in my desk at work.

LOL! I have always been a 1911 guy. Since I can carry it cocked and locked, I do. It's the only reason I won't buy a P01 or a Sphinx. No provision for a safety. And P02s are too bleeped hard to find.

I actually carry the P-09 from time to time. Mostly on weekends when concealment isn't required.

I carried my P09 once.  I put it in the holster and went out the door.

I found out that little bit of extra length (butt end, not barrel end) had me bouncing it off all kinds of stuff in the garage and sheds.  I guess I'd figured out exactly how to "slip by" those places with the P07 and must have just barely been clearing them.

Also, I wouldn't have thought it, but I could feel the difference in weight.  Not a big deal, I wasn't walking far, but I could tell it wasn't the P07.  I just put the P09 back in it's spot and went back to carrying the P07, but I do carry the P09 magazines most of the time.  If I've gone through the 13 rounds in the gun I don't care if the magazine sticks out a little when I reload, and I probably need the extra couple of rounds anyway.  Because I'm having a bad day by then.

I second the P09 magz for back up. Ive also added +2 extensions on my P07 magz. Never tried it on the P09. That could be interesting O0

M1A,
Is there a risk of shoving the P-09 mag too far into the P-07 without a sleeve or spacer to provide a hard stop?

Muggia,
I'm still looking into those ruger mag sleeves
