I just figured out how to get a Fibre Optic rear for my 10mm Witness Elite Match, and my SAR K2 45.
The dovetail is different for the Elite match than the standard Witness, so I tried measuring some rear sights at a gun store and found the S&W M&P are very close.
I ordered a LPA SPF025W from an Amazon dealer.
It is a fully adjustable rear sight with green fibre optic rods for the S&W M&P.

It arrived today and I discovered something wonderful.
The rear sight that comes on the Elite Match is made by LPA (just not listed anywhere in their catalog)
I was able to simply swap the moving part to the Witness by driving out the rollpin.
You can leave the base in the dovetail.

For reference purposes I tried to fit the LPA base in my SAR-K2 45 rear dovetail and learned that S&W M&P rear bases are about 0.005" narrower than the SAR K2 or the Elite Match Witness.
I find it odd that the SAR K2 and the Elite Match Witness have the same odd rear dovetail.
Anyway I discovered that the SAR K2 rear sight is not made by LPA, but it is very similar to their SPF series, so the moving part will not swap without removing some metal from the SAR base.
The S&W M&P sight base will work in the SR K2 if you use a 0.015" shim underneath.
I proved it in mine.
Next I am going to try a Novak rear Fibre Optic sight for the S&W M&P in my SAR K2 45.
They cost about $50 less than the LPA sights.

Brownells also sells the shim stock if you don't want to sacrifice a feeler gauge.

Great info! Pics of the K2 45 when accomplished please. Every time I bring mine out to the outdoor range, it gets better and better. Sights I can see better indoors would boost that quickly. This is good news to me.

I am waiting on the parts from Brownells now.
They should be here soon.
The Trigger on my K2 has me a little worried in that it has gotten very light in single action.
Maybe 1 to 2 lbs.
Nice for target shooting but scary to think of using for defense.

Just finished installing the Novak rear FO sight in my Sar K2 45.
I ordered a pack of shim stock with the sight from Brownells, but ended up needing a 0.012" shim so I sacrificed a feeler gauge.
The Flickr album is here

I am very happy with it, and will shoot it soon to verify.
This rear is adjustable for elevation, and is nicer than the LPA I put on my Witness Elite Match 10mm
I might buy another for the 10mm.
I bought the Novak rear sight from Brownells for $71.

Looks Great! So other than the shims, was it a perfect fit with no fitting required?
-
The S&W M&P dovetail is a few thousandths smaller than the dovetail on the Sar K2 and the Witness Elite Match.
The shim makes it wedge perfectly in the dovetail.
Just a little tapping with a tiny hammer and a drift punch.
I put a scrap of card stock between the punch and the sight to keep from marring the sight.
Other than the shim, no modifications are necessary to the sight or gun.
The Novak sight has a locking set screw for the dovetail, and a locking set screw for the elevation.
It's very nice.

Excellent Work! 8) Thanx for posting! :)

I took the K2 to the range and the new Novak rear sight works great.
Now if I could just get one of the fibre optic front sights.
-
Does this also apply to night sights? Does the shim prevent the sight from moving under recoil?

After Reviewing the Op's Guide, I wondered if it would be possible to mount a Red Dot to my K2 45... so I ordered this:
Red Dot Mounting Plate
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L97354A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and the sheet metal kit in the OP's post from brownells. There was a bit of trickery needed to get the "smaller" dovetail pieces mounted, believe i used a piece of .012 and a sight adjustment tool to "slide" everything in. First attempt at mounting the red dot and plate I noticed that the optic wasn't sitting flush. Had a Rather decent incline due to there being a "lip" on the dovetail. To counter this I ended up using ither a piece of .012 folded over once, or .010 folded over once to level the optic out. haven't been able to shoot it yet since leveling it out, but in my tinker process and using it while the optic was raised the mount never moved after about 60 rounds.

Edit for working links

Your links are no good.

Hmm, Guess I'll be unfancy and edit it so the strait up link shows.

Thanks. They work now.
I'm anxious to see how this works out.

Got out to the range. Tried for just the 10m minimum distance. Not the greatest shot but here we are.

Mounting screws came loose after 140 rounds, but thats my fault didn't have them torqued down, however I still don't like the 2 screw design:

Consider using some Blue Loctite on those mounting screws.
Nice setup, though.

For anybody else wondering about this old thread, the old part numbers don't seem to be available any longer so I am going to order this one and five it a go on my Sar K2 https://www.novaksights.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1100513
I am going to drill my front sight and install a rod in that and should be good to go. FWIW my old Sar K2 has a broken rear sight and needs replacement.
Happy shooting!
