Title: SP-01/Shadow barrel in CZ 75 Compact, can this be done...?

I know, crazy question. I'm fixated on having a longer barrel in the CZ 75 Compact 9mm. How would the SP-01/Shadow (4.9"?) change the Compact, some PF increase, sight return from recoil...

Been looking for a great deal on the Compact and when/if I have a wind fall sending it off for a fitted barrel and a few extras.

Can the barrel be fitted by a back-yard, redneck guy, if so how? I much might this longer/fitted barrel cost?

Try a 75b barrel. The sp01 barrel diameter is larger, so would need to be turned down. Also one barrel lug needs to be removed.

Thanks Stuart, I understand the barrel lug. Is there a barrel bushing problem, is there no way the larger diameter barrel will fit. I'm assuming the AU barrel is of better quality than the standard CZ 75 barrel.

With either standard length (4.9") barrel how would these change the handling and shooting characteristics of the Compact?

Waste of $$$ and time?
