Hello all,
I just bought a CZ455 Evo. I'm very much a newbie when it comes to rifle scopes. I've read that the J&P adapters are a very popular solution for mounting, may well as the Burris Super Zee rings. I plan on target shooting, probably only to 100 yards, but maybe less, and sometimes maybe more. Can any of you all recommend a decent scope and mounting solution for my new rifle? I've searched a bit, but like I said, I'm very much a newbie.
Many thanks,
Brad

I have a 455 Evolution. I target shoot only, some mild competition, and I'm going to use a Mueller Tactical AO 4-16 x 50 scope. The scope is currently on a 452 and it really works great on that rifle. It's very clear and accurate on bags. The 452 will shoot nickle sized groups at 50 yards with the occasional flyer using CCI standard velocity ammo. When I get it on the 455, I'm going to try the Mueller and some Eley match ammo with both rifles to see how close I can get the groups and establish the most accurate rifle of the two. I'm checking on which rings I'll need to put the 50mm on the 455. I had to use high rings on the 452 because of the large sights that they come with, but I don't want to use them on the 455. I like to keep the scope as close to the barrel as I can. The 455 doesn't have sights and I think I'll be good with a medium ring setup, but I'm having problems finding a 11mm dovetail medium ring to see what the height of them are. I think I'm going to mount the setup I have on the 455 and measure to see how much lower I could drop the scope, then I'll have a measurement to go by. I've checked at the local Academy, Gander Mountain, and Cabellas to no avail. I hope to find some at the next gun show.

Look at Warne 7.3/22 rings.
The ocular bell clearance to the bolt handle will be the limiting factor on all the CZ bolt guns.

Thank you painter. Maybe Brad737 and myself could both use those.

Midway lists the height of different rings to make choosing easier.
Many shooters like the Burris with the adapters from J&P, but I wanted QD so I went with the Warnes.
