Title: Duracoat Versions?
Post by: tcarn1 on October 01, 2015, 02:42:27 PM
A few years ago, there were rebuilt, duracoated versions of the CZ-82 in all kinds of color combinations readily available at the online auction sites. Now, it appears there are only a few.

Anybody know what has happened with those to make them so infrequently available?

I think there were just refinished.  Most of the 82/83s had original painted finish.

Very simple answer - anyone who bought one does not want to part with it.

I had one that I purchased from Mach 1 Arsenal in TN.  My color of choice was 'Black'.  It came with new factory grips and looked better than new.

Alas ...

We bought 4 that were in need of refinishing. We refinished all with GunKote and sold 2 of them.  Those sales made enough that the 2 we kept were paid for.  I REALLY like my free CZ 83.
