Title: Sphinx AT 2000 police special?
Post by: stromburg on October 13, 2015, 08:49:56 PM: I put a Spinx AT 2000 PS on a 5 day hold at my LGS today without knowing anything about them, all I know is it felt as good as my P01 with an amazing trigger!

So far everything I've read is extremely positive.

I'd really appreciate any input you all have on this little 2 tone gem, good and bad.

Anyone have or had one?

If you are seeing this at a good price, i would jump on it in a heartbeat.

Post by: stromburg on October 15, 2015, 12:01:18 AM: Honestly I wouldn't have even looked at it if it wasn't for this forum and CGW's reviews of the new Kris's/Sphinx models, then add the fact this one is at Cabelas, who usually is really overpriced on everything in there gun library but for $500 it seemed like a no brainer to at least put it on hold while I did some research......

I did post a thread on my local forum and the only responses were "I'll buy it if you don't" and a offer to buy it from me for $650.

I think this will be coming home with me soon ;D.......and I'm keeping it 8)

Now I need to order a pro package from David for my P01 so I can see how these 2 compare at the range.

Post by: stromburg on October 20, 2015, 02:11:24 AM: So far I've had zero luck finding anyone selling replacement part for this thing, so I sent an e mail to David at CGW to see if he's familiar with them at all. What I'm hoping is he'd be willing to check it out if I sent it to him to see if any CZ or a Canik parts might work or be close enough with some fitting to work.
I may not ever need anything but it'd sure be nice to know and or have them on hand just in case.

Regardless I should be picking it up in a week or so.

Brought it home, field stripped it and everything looks really nice, hopefully I can get to the range this weekend.

Lot easier to refine others work than to start from scratch with your own.

Post by: stromburg on December 07, 2015, 12:16:33 PM: I'm really liking this Sphinx, with a full size frame height and a 3.74" barrell makes it a nice size that's right between the full size and compact, probably real close to CZ's semi compact from their custom shop.
