Welcome to the world of polyogonal (sp?) rifling. The CZ 82 in 9 x 18 Makarov has superior accuracy with little visable rifling. A number of other manufacturers have used this same type of rifling notably Glock.

"Where are you guys getting your 9 mm makarov ammo and spare magazines?"
Just do a search for ammo to buy on the internet. Most handgun ammo dealers stock 9x18. Local gun shows are a good place to look for it also. Few gun stores in my area carry 9mak for some reason.
Ditto on the barrel. The CZ polygonal barrel is a good bit smoother than other manufacturer's polygonal barrels such as Glock, Kahr and HK. The answer as to whether your barrel is worn or not comes with shooting. Is it accurate? While not as good as my HK P7, my 82 shoots pretty well, and I think mine has alot of rounds through it.
Good luck with your "new" 82.

"How many magazines should I get? I have two that came with the pistol and was wondering where to get more."
82 mags are harder to find, but .380 CZ83 mags work fine. Check the usual places that sell mags and ammo, CDNN, gun broker, Mak.com, etc.
How many mags should you have...you can never have enough! Really that's up to you.

You can get mags at Makarov.com. I got a 9x18 83 recently from them.

I, too, am looking for a source for replacement CZ82 barrels.
Thanks
