Title: Happy New Year VZ.58 Operators!
Post by: CitizenPete on January 01, 2016, 07:45:09 PM
Best to all in 2016!  Jan. 1st, 2015

Gold is 1060/oz, Silver 13.88, and 7.62x39 is $220/1000
7.62x54R Russian surplus crates increased $100 in 2015, as it is no longer being imported.

This year could be a challenge in the US as we push back against government tyranny to preserve our 2nd Amendment rights.  As I write this the US POTUS has already announced the intention to issue executive orders in regards to background checks (and other infringements...???)  Potentially a slippery slope?

The copyright trolls on Youtube have blocked the "Bolero Video" one of the most infamous VZ.58 videos ever posted.  If you never saw the video, it was an epic demonstration video produced by Czechpoint-USA and featured assembly and operation of the Sa.Vz.58, as well as some masonry destruction all to the music of the Bolero. Sadly, the video appears to be removed due to music copyright violation.

BTW, if you haven't seen the movie "The Big Short" I would recommend it. (it was better time spent than the new Star Wars, IMO).

Steel case .223 is down in the same price too!
And J&G sales has steel case .308 down at .34 cents per round.

And don't forget gas at $1.80 or so a gallon...

Let's hope!

Should add, I'm somewhat bummed about the price increase on 7.62x54R...  Those finnish mosins classic firearms has look VERY appealing...  But at K31 prices and ammo costs the same, I think I'll be adding another K31 to my collection instead...
Just need some more GP11 ammo to come in country as I'm down to my last case!

Apparently, the Swiss just began production of the GP11 again... http://iaaforum.org/forum3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=18237

It appears unlikely we're going to see more 7.5x55 surplus in the market soon.

I was just drooling over those Finns myself!! I love the stocks on them.
I have also been hunting for 7.62x54r spam cans, but I'm always late to the party.
I just got my first couple Mosin nagants on trade. Ex snipers from the crate
