Title: What bullet weights have you found to work the best with your BREN?

Either reloaded or factory, just curious what shooters have found to work the best so far?

When I first got my 805 (going on a year ago now) I tried running a fairly wide variety of .223 & 5.56 that I had on hand just to test this very subject (non-scientifically, just in shooting while training on the range)...  and in my experience by far, the 5.56 M855 62gr ammo (multiple brands) gives the best performance in general (i.e. accuracy at contact range <300 metres) out of the stock 11" bbl...  I only had M193 & M855 to compare (55gr vs. 62gr) and the heavier bullets definitely were more accurate...

As a side note, all .223 ammunition I tried did poorly in comparison, with all types & brands of 5.56 out-performing it hands down...

My 2 cents

Thank you, exactly what I'm looking for! Anyone else?

My groups really opened up with the LC M855 green tip ball, 5'ish inches at 100yds. On the other hand mine really likes the federal 55gr FMJ. My best group is 2.75" at 100yds  (5 rd groups), really... 5 rounds, 2.75" outta a 10+ inch barrel,  and its repeatable! I love this SBR (yes, SBR! My stamp is back!!!) I'm using the Aimpoint micro T2.
