Bought a new, old stock SP-01 and took it to the range today. It ran great with Federal aluminum case 180gr flat nose FMJ ammo (ate two boxes, poor thing was hungry after being stuck in a plastic box since 2013).
Love the feel of the SP-01 and the ambi-decockers. Here's the question -
Do I need to buy a second one in 9mm or can I swap in a 9mm barrel and recoil spring in place of the .40 S&W parts?
-
Why downgrade? I've already got a SP-01 Tactical in 9mm and have been looking around for one in .40S&W to go along with my P-06.

If I can swap barrels, that means twice the calibers, twice the fun. Already have lots of 9mm - this .40 is the only one in the collection.
If I can't swap the barrel, then I will have to add the 9mm SP-01 to my future purchases list. I like the feel of the SP-01 and the ambi decocker configuration.

Not sure about the barrel, but you should at least be able to swap slides if you come across one. I've seen a few uppers on here at times.

The slide is marked with the caliper. If you put a 9mm barrel in a slide that reads 40 S&W confusion in the future may lead to an accident.

Buy one in each of 9mm and .40S&W -- that's what I intend to do.
The only thing better than a CZ is two CZs.
