Checking out one of my favorite shops and found a 40p that looks like it hasn't had more than a box of ammo through it.
Price I couldn't pass up.
Now what do i do with it? Thinking of hammer and smoothing up the trigger parts.
Are the frame internals all P01 parts?
It does have the Plastic guide rod and it is shaped like a banana. so I'm thinking steel guide rod.
Thinking of minor loading some 40 rounds for the wife to shoot. any spring recommendations?
Will the extended firing pins available fit colt 1911 style slide?

Clean it and the mags and go shoot it. I bet you will be pleasantly surprised at how it handles.
The 40P is the only gun I recommend a steel guide rod since it has the buffer (make sure it has the plastic buffer installed around the recoil spring).
The frame is a standard 75 design and has all the same internals as any decocker CZ (non Omega). The firing pin is a standard CZ design too so any of the CZ extended firing pins can be installed.
I run a heavier Wolf 20lb recoil spring and it still sends the brass flying.
Cheers,
Toby
