I looked at the page you linked to.
Do you see that tell-tale welded seam down the rear center of the magazine body in Midway's picture? Factory CZ-UB magazines don't have that seam. However, those $14.99 el-cheapo (el-China-o?) magazines do. That's what I'm betting that these are.
I'm afraid that the best thing is still to just pony up the bucks and buy magazines directly from CZ for the VZ 82 and CZ 83. That's probably the only wa to get reliable magazines.
I wonder if Mec-Gar made the 82 and 83 magazines. I know that they made the CZ 75 magazines. I can buy Mec-Gars for my CZ 75 for $21.00 each. If Mec-Gar makes them for the 82 and 83, maybe they can be persuaded to send some over?

Thanks for pointing that out. I don't have either pistol, I was just passing along the info. The description does say factory original from CZ, but who knows what Midway was told.
I have a few Mec-Gars for my CZ 85, and they run flawlessly. I cannot distinguish them from the CZ factory mags, except for the markings.

Also, they do not have the spring centering dimples in the bottom of the sides. I do have a military CZ82 mag with crossed swords, however, that does not have the dimples. From what I can see, the bas plates don't have the two spot welds, either. I say cheapos....
