Title: Good source for P07 magazines?
Post by: dpsk on June 13, 2016, 11:18:23 PM
Well, great new P07 in hand, but I can't seem to find magazines online.  Does anyone have any sources for magazines in stock?  I'd like at least 2 more in addition to the 2 it came with in the box.

Looks like Greg Cote LLC is out. Its the only place i go for CZ mags. Now they have the 40 S&W mags but i assume you are looking for 9mm?

I have heard that the C75 magazines work. Can anyone elaborate on exactly which ones you use?

I just ordered 6 from CZ-UB. The price showed 18 Euro, but I was charged 17.58E each. Shipping, including VAT (Value Added Tax) was 59.24E for a total of 164.72E. Or $186.15. CZ-USA charges $42 ea or $252 plus shipping for six P07 mags. So I'm paying $11 per mag less buying from the Czech Republic, even with their tax system. It will be shipped via DHL, but I wasn't given a time line. The website was in English and they take credit cards. They give a real nice receipt, in English, via email. This might be an alternative for some.

Yes. The picture on their site showed the magazine with the witness holes on the back. The mag was also in the subcategory of P07 accessories - magazines, 15 rounds. They are the same mags that I got with my gun. At least in the photos, I hope in the package when I get it.

OK! Five days from order to delivery, from The Czech Republic to Las Vegas, Nevada. Each magazine in its own plastic package. All of the them type III with the numbers on the spine: 2 through 15. All of them a perfect fit in the 2015 P07. Eject with force and lock the slide back, 15 rounds. I was unable to tell any difference between those mags and the ones that came with my gun. Delivered by DHL, had to sign for the package. Not the best cardboard or tape, but the box was in a sealed plastic bag you need a knife to get into. All markings exactly as on the type III mags some of us are getting with the guns now. Color me happy.

This is the page that has the P07 mag:  magazine P-07 9mm 15r WH AFC.
I put one in a cart and it worked. There is no indication they are low or out of them.

Edit: the link would not work because the system said someone else had just posted. I'll run through the steps below. Sorry.

1 - google CZ-UB
2 - Upper right corner has language selection if the page is not in English
3 - Move curser to 'online store'
4 - select 'for pistols'
5 - select 'magazines'
6 - select 'magazines' again and click on that
7 - The magazine is 3rd row down, on my screen, "magazine P-07 9mm 15r wh afc"
8 - click on the mag and you will get the info and order page.
There is a 2 year warrantee on these (take that, CZ-USA)

so each mag came in it's own packaging? are they marked in any way? like CZ branded bags?
I'm thinking about picking up some mags, then selling them on ebay to cover the cost of the mags I'm keeping.

Just waiting on P-09 10 round mags to come back in stock.

Thanks.  The option to add to cart was NOT available last night when i checked.  6 mags came out to 185.  I dont need that many mags though unfortunately.  If you buy less than the shipping stays the same

Yes, they are in clear hard plastic. A card stock filler at the very top says "Pistol Magazine" below is the round CZ logo and the letters CZ on a large cross hatch background. The back has a list of CZ gun types, calibers and capacities. None of mine were marked. The whole thing is made for peg board hangers.

maybe a dumb question...but does the brexit vote have any impact on the currency conversion rate? maybe these are even a better deal now?
Title: Re: Good source for P07 magazines?
Post by: wdbutcher on June 24, 2016, 03:01:39 PM
I checked yesterday and the currency rate rate is. 1 Euro equals 1.14 dollars. I also checked what it would cost to ship 20 magazines and it was the same as shipping just one. If a guy had deep enough pockets he could order 20 of them and get them for about half of what they cost here. The price on a 18 round magazine for a SP-01 is the same price as a 15 round P-07 magazine. I am very tempted to put in an order for both :)
Title: Re: Good source for P07 magazines?
Post by: nevada on June 24, 2016, 03:45:39 PM
WDButcher, the magazines are the exact same as came with my gen2 P07. They are different from the 16 round and the 15 round mags CZ-USA sells. They are the latest mags for the gun, the springs are stronger as in that the wire is a thicker diameter, the floor plate is different and the mag  round count holes are located on the back, instead of the sides. I have links to some pics of the mags in this post:  http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=78517.0
The mags look the some when inserted. There are 3 types now. The 1st -16 rd, the second - 15 rd, same spring diameter as the 16 rd, different witness hole locations and the 3rd - thicker spring and differences notes in the post and pics.

Mine came via DHL so I don't know what's going on either......are magazines considered weapons "parts"?  Maybe DHL had an increase in shipments of mags (because of us CZ forum members) and they just noticed they were magazines and were a prohibited (per DHL) item???
Title: Re: Good source for P07 magazines?
Post by: nevada on October 12, 2016, 03:51:13 PM
Part of the high shipping cost was DHL doing all the export/import paperwork. Could be Czech authorities have looked closer at their regs or misinterpreted them. Or USA authorities think the word "Czech" is part of China and hence Chinese guns, parts and ammo can't be imported.
Pretty dumb though as CZ sends complete guns and parts to us. Maybe CZ-USA complained. Lots of could be's and maybe's. They probably won't say for sure.

I would be more inclined to believe that CZ-USA complained that we were cutting into the profit margin of their over priced mags. >:(

Maybe CZ-UB needs to explore other options for shipping to the USA besides DHL. I doubt if CZ-USA complained about losing anything. They are not the only dealer that stocks these mags either and to be fair they have to purchase their stock from CZ-UB as well and they are in business to make a profit.
If we are lucky one day maybe the non- competition agreement between Mec-Gar and CZ will be dissolved and Mec-Gar will be able to make P-07/P-09 mags at lower prices like they do for the standard 75 series pistols.

DONT IMPORT MAGAZINES WITHOUT A FORM 6.

Sorry, I'm not yelling... I just wanted that in bold.

The atf states that a form 6 needs to be filled out and approved before any firearm parts in excess of $100 can be imported in lot the states.

Same for me this weekend.  Just got an email saying DHL recently started refusing to ship "gun parts" to some countries including USA.  Order being cancelled and refunded.

Called CZUSA customer service to inquire about US availability and to verify correct mag for my new generation P-07.  Person not very helpful.  Stock answer was that if it's not on the website, it isn't available... :(

I got an email from Vera at CZUB.CZ today as well.

"Until September it was possible and we delivered in US and all world by DHL with no problems. But now DHL stopped to delivered our packages due to legislative. ... So we are also surprised, why it happened. So at this moment you can?t order directly from us, sorry."

Bummer! :'(
