I am trying to help my father identify and put a value on this handgun. Unfortunately I have been unable to find any information about it online. It was purchased new and has never been fired. I quickly snapped off a few photo's last night and the lighting was not that good but it was the best I could do at the time. I will get some better photo's next time I am at his place. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Not my kinda gun, but would speculate that on a major auction site it could go $1500 or higher. Possibly much higher like $2500, hard to guess what a unicorn is worth. Depends on who bids. If you list it use some quality pictures. Might consider using a FFL with a reputation to add credibility.

Concur with AZ_CZ's comments on proper auction marketing techniques and potential price points, especially by headlining the rare status of this specimen. There are a few more-recent anniversary editions with blueing and/or engraving that list around the mid-$1k range. It'll be interesting to see how the quality of this master blue compares with the more recent pistols. I hope it doesn't have the usual big AAL import mark on the left muzzle. Those gold plated (?) accents are a plus-minus depending on tastes. This one has a feature that the more recent premium commemorative pistols cannot claim....it's a Made in Czechoslovakia pre-B from 1992.

The finish and gold plating were most likely done after it left the factory and was imported here, on this side of the pond by Action Arms them selves. It didn't come from CZ that way,

AA was a big importer in the day, but don't recall them doing any fabrication or gun work. If it wasn't a CZ catalog item then I would guess it was a custom order for AA and that is all factor work. CZ still does this today for dealers. How is marked by AA would tell a lot about its origin.

I know its been 2+ years since I posted in this thread, but after I posted this my father showed no interest in selling this and did not want to pull the gun back out of the safe for me, so I let it drop. To my surprise last week he brought it up and we pulled the gun out of the safe and I snapped some better photos with my iPhone. I thought you all might enjoy seeing them. Please keep in mind that the gun has never been handled since new and still has a good coat of the original oil. Dad did not want to wipe it down so it does not look smooth in the photo's. I am not sure yet if he will let me post it on GB yet, but it still may happen. Enjoy and thanks for all the feedback.
