Hey all,
What is your favorite powder/amount/OAL/bullet weight for shooting .40 major with a Berry's/Xtreme PLATED ROUND NOSE bullet?
-
4.0 or 4.1 of red dot, at 1.13-ish oal under an extreme 180gr fp is what I have used. 170pf in a tactical sport and outstanding accuracy, like bullet holes touching each other at 15 yards.

I just bought a box of 180 grain lead flat point bullets. I'll have to try that load out. So far 140 grain is the heaviest I've run through my P07 and P09 but I thought I'd try some heavier.

4.6 gr of N320 using a 180gr blue bullet with an oal of 1.135

200gr acme and bbi 1.155 oal 4.1gr WST
200gr acme and bbi 1.155 oal 4.2gr N320

When I used to shoot in limited class. 200gr Xtreme or Blue Bullets pills pushed by 4.9gr of CFE-Pistol with a 1.130 OAL out of a STI Executive. Average PF was 180.8 (904 FPS). Very soft shooting, recoil was less than a 45 ACP.

180gr Coated from bluebullets, Bayou, SNS or Precision
Tite group or WST
