Title: P07 Single Side Decocker
Post by: rm06 on July 13, 2016, 07:45:52 PM
Hello everyone,

I found the P07 while researching a new concealed carry DA/SA and luckily I was able to locate one late last week and I'm looking forward to get it out to the range this weekend. I'm completely new to CZ pistols but I remember reading a Mike Pannone article about them a while ago, turns out it was the P07, 'the best pistol no one knows about'.

In any case, I was wondering if there was anyone making a left-side only decocker or if there is a method for removing the right side lever. While it isn't overly thick I find it redundant on an otherwise non-ambi pistol and I think it would go a long way to making a slimmer profile.

I haven't heard of one personally. I understand the allure though. It would be very easy to engineer a smooth cover for the right side removal. It would probably be slightly simple to custom (smith) alter / remove the right side.

Sometimes at the range I will actually use my support hand thumb and finger to use both levers by straddling the slide. I know it's very unconventional but I'm trying to have fun with my old achy hands and I find that the P-07 decocker has an unpleasant bite.
